What's this about?
Yesterday's 300-comment argument about how much of Hacker News is AI-written has produced a tool: a live dashboard measuring how much of HN is about AI.
What exactly is it measuring, and how is that different?
Note the shift. Yesterday's analysis asked how much of HN is *written by* AI — a detection problem, dependent on a classifier of contested reliability. This one asks how much of HN is *about* AI, which is topic classification: far easier, far more defensible, and not really disputable. The stronger question got replaced by the answerable one.

The reception is friendly, with most of the discussion about methodology and the visible trend line over time. Several explicitly note it sidesteps the detection controversy from yesterday, which is treated as a feature rather than an evasion.
