Prime Agent: an open-source self-improving RLM harness

What's this about?

Prime Agent starts from the observation that language models are sequential processors while long-horizon agency needs external information and computation beyond the weights and the active context. It is an open harness for long-running work. 32 upvotes.

What exactly is the "context" limitation?

A model can only look at a fixed amount of text at once. For a task spanning hours, everything important cannot stay in view — so the harness must decide what to write down, what to retrieve, and what to recompute. That bookkeeping, not the model's intelligence, is usually what determines whether a long task succeeds.

It sits alongside Headlong above as part of a visible convergence this week on persistent agents and the memory-and-state problem, with two independent open releases attacking it.
