EnvACE: world rehearsal for agentic RL

What's this about?

EnvACE trains agents to internalize an environment's dynamics through "world rehearsal" — mentally simulating how the environment will respond before committing to actions — to improve agentic reinforcement learning.

What is a "world model"?

A world model is the agent's internal simulator of "if I do X, what happens next." Humans do this constantly — you rehearse a conversation or a chess move in your head before acting. Giving an agent a good internal model lets it plan and try things "in imagination" cheaply, instead of only learning from expensive real trial-and-error.

Why does it matter?

Agentic RL is sample-hungry and unstable; letting an agent rehearse against a learned model of its environment can make training faster and more reliable — a recurring theme across several papers this week.
