What's this about?
A tool that tracks, line by line, which parts of a document were written by a human versus an AI as agents edit it — "provenance" for text under agentic editing.
What is "provenance"?
Provenance means the recorded origin and history of something — for text, "who (or what) wrote and changed each part, and when." As AI agents increasingly co-write documents, knowing which lines are human vs. machine matters for trust, accountability, and (in some fields) compliance.
Why does it matter?
As AI and humans blend authorship, "who wrote this?" stops being a yes/no and becomes line-by-line. Tooling that answers it is early plumbing for accountability in AI-assisted writing and code.
