Molt: PyTorch-native agentic RL framework

What's this about?

A training framework for agentic reinforcement learning where, in mainstream tools, every algorithm tweak has to thread through layers of trainer, distributed backend, and rollout glue. Molt restructures things so a new estimator or rollout scheme stays a local change (24 upvotes).

What exactly is "agentic RL"?

Reinforcement learning trains a model by reward and penalty over many attempts. "Agentic" RL applies this to models that take multi-step actions with tools and environments, not just emit one answer — the training behind capable agents. It's notoriously fiddly because the moving parts are many and tightly coupled.

Why does it matter?

Research velocity depends on how cheaply you can try ideas. A framework that localizes changes lets teams iterate on agent-training algorithms faster — infrastructure that quietly sets the pace of the whole agentic-RL field (see also Moonshot's AgentENV release today).
